STORIES OF ME: BRAVE

BRAVE

What is it to be brave? Is it to stand up against the shit heads and be the voice of reason? Is it to get married and move across the world? Is it to live every day, on and on? Is it brave to wake up in the morning and continue on? Is it brave to be someone in the military?

We all face situations every day in life that each of us considers to be brave. Be it driving, dealing with our children,  or doing something we never thought we'd do in our life.

Bravery can mean so many different things to so many people. And I don't belittle any of the battles. I know that each of us are facing our own little battles every day, and again, they're all different.

One of my own biggest feats of bravery has to have been realizing what kind of person I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. Then, to end and leave behind the kind of people I was with, and people who have negative influences in my life. I don't need them.

I have been going through some people on FB and other things (including my brain) and trying to clear it all out. Clear it out from the negativity, and from the past. I live in the here and now. Not the then.

What comes to mind for you when you hear the word BRAVE?

  1. Hey Adrienne,
Over my life I have had those brave moments because I make them happen. I push myself to be bold and brave and change, it's not easy. Here is my most recent "fear" that I will need to gather all my bravery in every bone of my body! I'm finally overcoming my fear of heights!

I know it's only a few weeks away, before I'll be dangling from some ropes, helmet securely intact, rappelling down a ravine with a shear drop off of 150ft (hey, that's really freaking high now that I write it!)and I'll be BACKWARDS! It's going to be an awesome experience and it will open up some doors for me during caving, geocaching, just being alive and crazy! If I live.....:)

AND, yes! It is brave to be a member of our military and I am thankful for that every day!
    Later!
