Hola! :)

It's been a while, no? I have just been answering the #reverb10 questions and pretty much leaving it at that. That's definitely not good enough for me.
With December ending in approximately 4 days... I must remember that there is more to this blog! There are some things I have yet to share with you (like, pictures of my apartment! I have been living here for over a month now, and I still haven't shown you the awesomeness that is my apartment!). I have tons of goals right now that I want to share with you too! But I am trying to decide on if I should just share them on the first... Or maybe even the 31st. There are things I want you to join in with me on too! :)

So the last few days have been a little rough for me. I have been down and out! Boo on me. But you know... Sometimes I guess it is a little healthy to step out of my "life is peachy" mode for a little while and remember that I am no where near friends, no where near my family (except for hubbs), and I am kind of doing this own my own. Being in South Korea is SUPER cool, but it's slightly less cool when you're by yourself! I am doing my absolute best in trying to make friends, and getting out and doing things. But it's a lot more difficult in the winter months with snow, and holidays... heh. But once the New Year hits, I am going to be all over these people like white on rice! haha. Just you wait!

So, also, the last three days I have found a great website! It is called 750words. It's a really great way to start the day. Really. I started 3 days ago and I am hooked. The website sends me an email to remember to head over there and write. So far, it has been nice to get these things off of my chest onto something PRIVATE (COMPLETELY PRIVATE) and sort of get rewarded for it. 750words is about 3 pages long hand. I can write it up in less than 20 minutes! Get things that are bothering me off my chest, out of my head, so I can have room for greatness the rest of the day. I really think that this is going to help me next year to keep positive! :)

I also joined a site called OhLife. It is another journal type site where it emails you with the question "How'd your day go?" and you reply to your email. This site too is completely private. It is really nice, if you keep meaning to journal and just forget about it. You can also add pictures to your journal by attaching it to your reply email. So far for me it has been nice to just talk/complain about the day so that you can go to bed with an empty head. And also, like I said, you'll have something that has your daily doings whether they are actually interesting or not... So your journal is nice and there. For the future, so you can look back on it. :)

Let me know if you try 750words or OhLife. I really like them, and I think some of you will too!

December 26 – Soul Food What did you eat this year that you will never forget? What went into your mouth & touched your soul? (Author: Elise Marie Collins)
You know. I miss the food that my Grandma L. makes. I love pult (Scandinavian dish)... I totally miss it. I wish I could make it. But, I have not had it this year. Something that is 'soul food' for me is COLDSTONE ICE CREAM... Specifically the Cheesecake ice cream with COOKIE DOUGH and almonds... cookie dough does not seem to be popular here in Korea... *sad face* and that's sad. Poopers... do they just not have cookies here?! I don't get it! It's a delicious additive to ice cream!
Something that I have tried that I really like here in Korea is their Ramen. It's good stuff! :)

  1. Hi there. I'm new to your blog and love it so far. Just wanted to pop in and leave a comment on your post.

Holidays are hard for me as well, but only because I let them get the best of me. I like your attitude and upbeat outlook!

I will definitely be checking these sites out. Not sure how much time I'll have to do them every day, but I like the idea of 750 words. Have you ever gone to Sanity Journals. I go there frequently to journal in a safe, loving, welcoming environment. Love the people I've met and the positive feedback.

    Happy new year. :)

  2. I tried 750words, as well! I really liked it, but then I started a longterm subbing gig and found it difficult to login and do my 3 pages, answer Reverb 10, grade papers, keep my sanity, etc. I think I'll start it up again as soon as Reverb 10 disappears.

Ooh, and ditto on Coldstone! I loved one of their seasonal flavors a couple summers ago, the butterscotch JELL-O flavor. I was devastated to discover they no longer carry it, boo.

  3. I loved 750 words! Thanks so much for the recommendation! Once I started, my little fingers couldn't type fast enough! I just hope that I'll be able to keep it up. Do you use it every day?

  4. Hey Adrienne!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I am so excited to see another blogger in SoKo! I got here in May of this year in Dongducheon (Camp Casey). It's been a while since I have written because we found out we're preggers. I just wrote a new entry, so feel free to stop by. Looking forward to reading more about your experiences here. I love your wedding photo and the head piece you were wearing!
