LET'S OPEN UP THE SKETCHBOOK...

Honestly, I did a shit amount of drawing over the last week. AND I even finally got some new books from the library. Haven't. even. opened. them.

Because I suck.

Ah well.

So these first ones I gave myself a challenge to try and do some gestures with minimal lines. Trying to really capture the movement, and become more "confident" in my lines.

Lately, I have been really wanting to try to draw some woodlandy creatures, deer to be exact. They're really weird shaped... Have you ever tried to sketch out a deer?? I was looking on google for reference... and well, they need some new deer photos. Just saying.

Did you do some art works this week?? Link up with the two linkies below!

  7. I love your deer sketches. Sometimes I bypass all the fun development of creating art, and just start painting. I need to get my pencils out and sketch more!

  13. I have pages and pages like this in my sketchbooks... well not of deer... and I did try to draw a cow the other day and it ended up looking like it had a dog's head... which was all sorts of wrong, so I am steering clear of animals from now on... But back to the pages... I think this is a huge amount... that is 90 little suckers right there... what is a week of lots of drawing... I am kind of scared by the thought...xx
