Push Up Mini Challenge

Served myself a mini challenge for this month. Trying to do as many push ups as I can in one set.

Nov 30th: 15
Dec 1st: 16
Dec. 2nd: 20

Wow! :D I feel sore from these. lol. My lower abdominal area, my sides: under my arm pits, and then my shoulder/upper arm area. lol.

I know it doesn't seem like much, but let me tell you, less than three months ago, I could only do like, 1 real "man" push up! lol. I could only do up to like, 5 or 6 a month or two ago, and then continued doing the push ups on my knees. I think this is a pretty big step for me.

I really wish this weather didn't make me feel like poo. I want to run, but I feel ick and sickly all the time lately. And, the vehicle that I have right now (which I am babysitting and is not my own) does not have great enough tires to roll around in the snow. I am too nervous to drive it to where I need to go, I also do not want to get into a wreck in a car that is not mine.

So this mini challenge, hopefully will work for me, and keep me going and active for now. :D

Would anyone like to join in with me?

Also, have any of you heard of Strong Lifts? Anyway, it seems to me that it is a basic lifting routine - Squats, bench press, and barbell rows. You do 5 sets of 5 reps for each exercise, three times a week, increasing 5-10lbs each week.

What do you think of these three exercises? A lot of the things that I have read about them seem to say that they are like "The Best" kind of. Super awesome, even.

What I have read up on this Strong Lifts program, doesn't have much to do with women. I assume that doing these exercises would be as beneficial to a woman as they are for a man. Of course, the program (app and signing up for this program) is unnecessary, as it is so easy to follow.

  1. Wow, quick progress! I should probably start a pushup routine before bed each night.
