Admittedly ... I only drew today. And a tea cup was calling to me. I have a little collection that I plan on turning into candles... Anyway, I grabbed one and drew it really quickly.
I'd really like to draw some cute things that people would like to put in their homes. I have a little Zazzle Store and I want to fill it with cuteness. I just can't ever seem to come up with something cute on my own. I feel like sometimes... I have no creativity. It's kind of disheartening. I don't know what my block is. I have one though. I just need to figure out how to get around it. So that I can create the things that I really want to.

Wait, but you drew that tea cup, right? I LOVE it! If you were aiming for cute, you achieved it.
ReplyDeleteGo into your bedroom, living room, kitchen, yard find something that you like looking at then draw it.
ReplyDeleteCute to the tea! We were both on the same page this week! :)
ReplyDeleteCutie! well sketched ~ I struggle with what I want to sketch or paint ~ Watched the Zen of Painting DVD by Jean Carbonetti and it helped me to understand what I needed to do ~ getting there ~

That tea cup is cute, so draw tea cups, anything that you find cute. The block will go away it always does.
ReplyDeleteHi, lovely to meet you. Love your tea cup. I think it's very cute and fresh.
ReplyDeleteMy suggestion to deblocking is... draw draw draw, even if you think it's crap. Copy someone's style that you like, then copy someone elses style (this is for practice only, obviously). Eventually your style will emerge and you will be doing your own thing. Draw from life, doodle, just keep drawing. Promise it will happen. There are some great courses out there too that can help. :)
Simple and lovely: less is more! :)
