A quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson |
Found this cool blog, Artists in Blogland, and it has some fun artsy link ups. This one is called Color This Quote :) . It made me pretty happy to join on in!
I saw this really fun painted quote, and had to borrow the banner thingie on it. Shauna Niequist is a great watercolor artist, and you can view her stuff on her Flickr.
To me, the best way to learn is to look at other people's work and attempt to replicate it, and to also give proper credit when credit is due. :)
I am not a very talented watercolor person, but I have fun with it, and I think that's all that matters. :) However, I definitely have a lot of learning and experimenting to do!
Ooo that's really pretty Adrienne! I like it!
ReplyDeleteLove this, especially the bold colors! I'll have to check out that challenge at Artists in Blogland. Thanks for stopping by my blog, commenting and following! I love what you're doing here. I was a military wife once upon a time as well. I realize I'm dating myself by sharing this but I really wish internet and blogging were available when we were stationed overseas. (Yep, it was THAT long ago!)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous creation Adrienne ...beautiful quote too..fabulous colors..very inspiring.

Having fun with it really is the most important thing! I'm not very good with watercolors either, but I love this medium.
ReplyDeleteI am loving your painted sayings at the moment... your lettering is waaaay better than mine would be and this is a great way to play with your watercolours... very cool...xx
