SKETCHBOOK!

Last weekend I showed you guys the beginnings of the first Tarot Card that really called to me from the WildWood Tarot deck. The Ancestor. I've decided to draw my tarot cards as a way of "connecting" to the deck before using them. Here is my progress thus far. :)

Drawn by me with reference to the 5 The Ancestor card of the Wildwood Tarot - Original by Will Worthington
Work in progress. :)

I am noticing a few things in the card that I wouldn't have noticed before. For instance the round thin in the hand. I thought it was just a wooden shield at first, but as I was drawing it and taking a deeper look, I realized it was a drum! Which means the thing in the other hand would be some sort of drum stick!

Do you have any art you've been working on this week? Link up with the linkies below!

  5. This is really great! I loved it in black and white but I like it in color, as well! I think it's pretty neat that you noticed something new about it in the process of drawing it.

  8. The word 'magical' has been used a lot today. I agree. This is a lovely progression, and you must continue this study!
