So, this week, I didn't do too much drawing, however... I started trying to connect to my Tarot Deck. I bought The Wildwood Tarot at the end of December, and really haven't used it at all yet. I did some research and they say that you're supposed to "connect" and "personalize" with your deck. I found somewhere that said you could do many things. Sleep with them, one at a time, the whole deck, etc etc. But they also said that you can do what you feel is right. And the first thing that came to me was to DRAW them. That is the reason I was drawn to them because of the artwork really. They're really gorgeous.
The art is what had drawn me to them. I saw them in the PX and I couldn't stop thinking about them. I had to have them. lol.
So, I went through all the cards and picked the one that called to me the most. It was "5 The Ancestor" which happens to be featured on the front of the box as well.

So, I began drawing this week. It's really interesting. Art by Will Worthington. I think he is very talented.
I am not sure if I will go through ALL of the cards, there are a lot... So probably not, but this is the main reason that I was drawn to the deck. Also because it was "woodsy" and "woodland-y". Which I have been feeling a real connection to lately.

ReplyDeleteI sense this is a wonderful way to connect with your cards. each one is so full of symbols and meaning. to draw it would let that information in. maybe to read about the card you draw before so that you can consider it while drawing. then if that card is chosen, the meaning might come right back to you. Your drawing is awesome!
